Patta is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its pivotal Nike Air Max 1 Waves collab this year, dropping two pairs of the slalom side paneled Air Maxes in different versions of grey and Hyper Crimson, with the second colorway joining the Air Max Day celebrations this week. Coming from the Netherlands, Patta is deep in the soccer game, so the latest collab couldn’t resist a little push to the pitch during World Cup season.

Keeping the same tough reinforced mesh upper that fans of the Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite love, the surfed-out side panels and toe add a protective layer stitched around the bottom section of the entire upper.

Arriving in two colorways, Chrome and Noise Aqua teal and Black and White, but so far, we’ve only seen photos of the silver and aquamarine pair. The aqua color, which is the same as the one used on Patta’s Air Max 1 from 2021, is added to the wavy bottom panel and the Air Max 1-style side panel Swoosh. Chrome silver covers the top of the upper, and cream accents are found on the one-piece tongue and ankle collar, plus the laces. The cleats underfoot are done in an iridescent color-shifting blend for a hit of shine.

The Patta x Nike Mercurial Zoom Vapor 16 Elite FG Waves Pack will be released Summer 2026, just in time for the World Cup, through Patta, Nike, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult sizes with grade school pairs added for the Black and White pair, the retail prices are set at $320 for the men’s sizes and $150 for the kids’ pairs.
