Pharrell’s adidas Jellyfish collab came out of nowhere last year to dominate the sneaker space, bringing adidas back to prominence in the hype space and notching yet another flawless victory to Skateboard P’s unflappable footwear resume. Now, with the new year upon us, Pharrell and adidas are back in the lab, with four new silhouettes previewed under the Virginia label.
Posted to Pharrell’s skateboard Instagram account, the four-slide preview goes bottom-up on the new shoes, showing one picture on each shoe, showing only the outsole. The first pair is slim enough to see a cream leather upper with green Three Stripe branding, but the other three images leave the entire upper to the imagination.
The slim pair features the same cream and green shades on the sole with a series of oval pads and repeating Virginia branding on one section. The second pair is a gum sole that’s slim in the middle and wider at the toe with a teal Virginia logo in the middle. The third shoe is a bulky runner in the style of the Jellyfish with a creamy, clear sole. Last but not least, the final shoe features the most unique sole of them all, adding four strips of bright green that come to a point at the toe and heel, surrounded by a tan structure with notches in the midsole.
Pharrell posted the photos alongside the caption “VIRGINIA” but didn’t offer any other details on the pairs or their upcoming release. Don’t worry, though, we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear more. To stay up on all the latest Pharrell x adidas collab news, download the Sole Retriever App.
