PinkPantheress is Helping Bring the Ballet Slipper Trend to UGG

If you’ve been paying attention to women’s sneakers lately, you’ve probably noticed the pliés. Ballet-inspired low-profile flats with full-foot laces and ribbon ties up to the ankle have taken over the industry at every level, and UGG doesn’t want to get left out.

To introduce the brand’s new Quill Ballet Sneaker, UGG tapped British pop superstar PinkPantheress to model the silhouette, along with the popular Tazz slipper and the new GoldenGlow Embossed, in a new editorial campaign. Shot in a pink room on a pink ruffled sheet, the editorial is all about feel, tapping into Y2K pop aesthetics.

As far as meeting the moment goes, UGG is checking all the right boxes: a trendy silhouette, a perfectly timed aesthetic touch, and a celeb with real influence on her fans. After dropping pairs with Hidden and Palace, the fuzzy slipper brand is showing a keen sense for collabs and partnerships. As for the ballet slipper obsession across the industry? Well, we still haven’t seen anyone actually wear them outside, but maybe that’s just us.
