Tyrese Haliburton may not have an NBA championship yet, but he’s still got some hardware on the mantel. In 2018, Haliburton led the Oshkosh North boys basketball team to its very first Division 1 Wisconsin State Championship. Haliburton scored 31 points in the title game, including 24 in the second half, to secure the hardware and a Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year award.

Now, with Haliburton stuck on the sidelines all season as he recovers from a heartbreaking injury in the middle of last year’s incredible playoff run, the Pacers’ star is showing love to his old high school with an Oshkosh North PE of his Puma Hali 1. The Spartan-themed team PE features an upper in the school’s team colors, green and black, with a tri-tone green mesh and TPU upper, a black outsole, and a black and green gradient on the midsole.

The callback to Hali’s high school days features his Oshkosh North number, 14, in block letters instead of tongue logos, and Haliburton’s Puma logo on the heel in black. In a show of love to the school that inspired the sneaker, Tyrese and Puma hooked up the current boys and girls basketball teams at Oshkosh North with pairs of the PE and matching green Puma gear.

It’s not clear if the Puma Hali 1 Oshkosh North PE will get a general release in the future, but for now, it’s exclusive to the Oshkosh North hoops teams and Hali himself. For all the latest NBA signature sneaker news, make sure to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
