On the Road to WrestleMania, WWE is making a stop in Boston for Monday Night Raw, and the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns will be in the house alongside rival CM Punk. Last week, Punk and Reigns got into a heated promo exchange on Raw that ended with The Voice of the Voiceless smacking Roman down after the OTC said, “You’re a try-hard that’s making us all look terrible because at the end of the day, you’re old.” Reigns and Punk also engaged in a sneaker battle of sorts, with Roman wearing a pair of Travis Scott fragment Jordan 1 Lows and Punk lacing up the Shattered Backboard AJ 1 High. However, it’ll be hard to top Reigns’ footwear choice this week as he posted a promo video wearing the fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago Royal.
Released last month, the fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago Royal is one of three pairs in the triple-collab between Jordan Brand, Japanese brand fragment design, and Los Angeles retail storefront Union. The other two colorways, the Sport Royal and the White Black colorways, were limited and only dropped at select retailers, but the Chicago Royal was more widely available. Still, the mash-up AJ 1 High that combines details from the Royal, Chicago, and Black Toe colorways was quite limited and sold out instantly on release day.
Roman was also spotted wearing an Air Jordan jacket over his OTC T-shirt, with Reigns previously getting a custom care package from His Airness for WrestleMania 40 in 2024. We’ve also seen the Tribal Chief lace up plenty of high-heat kicks, from Travis Scott Jordans to Nigel Sylvester’s AJ 4 and Nike Kobes during his latest run in WWE.
Reigns is expected to have a face-off against CM Punk tonight during Monday Night Raw, and it would come as no surprise if he laced up the fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High Chicago Royal. Maybe Punk can come close to matching the heat on Reigns’ feet, but that’s not the main priority here. The two will enter the squared circle for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, which Punk currently has around his waist, during WrestleMania 42 in April.
