It’s been quite clear over the past few seasons that Saucony is killing it on all fronts. This rings true in our realm of streetwear and hype culture, with plenty of collabs from heavy hitters like Westside Gunn only continuing to strengthen the heritage running brand’s cultural cache amongst sneakerheads. But at its core, Saucony is a running brand. In addition to its recently released marathon super shoe, the Endorphin Elite 3, the label has added a new max cushioned silhouette to the mix with the aptly named Saucony Paramount Max.
Bringing the Max to Paramount Max
Plenty of brands across the industry will stuff their max cushion sneakers with lower-tier foam and cushioning systems, but not Saucony. The midsole is constructed with incrediRUN foam, an award-winning foam compound the brand has used in race-day super shoes like the previously mentioned Endorphin Elite 3. More incrediRUN foam is found on the sockliner for extra energy return, making the silhouette Saucony’s most cushioned silhouette ever, especially with its 43mm stack height in the heel and 37mm in the forefoot.
Paired with the super-soft foam cushioning system is a premium upper made of breathable engineered mesh. The back of the heel is anatomically molded for what Saucony touts as an “irritation-free comfort and fit,” which we can also attest to. The curved heel counter and its soft, yet structurally sound build keep you in place without digging into the back of your heel.

The Saucony Paramount Max was released last month in four different colorways, all retailing for $200.
