The tech bros are doing their best to blend in. Now that Allbirds has been sent to the pet cemetery, office workers from San Francisco to NYC are looking for the next trend in conversation-starting footwear. At the constantly pinging Slack offices, management found the perfect solution in the custom sneaker market.
Tech Bro Customs
Posted on Instagram by sneaker customizer @jsbthecreator, the Slack collection featured pairs of Nike Dunk Lows and Air Max 1s. Both sneakers were customized in the same white, purple, green, yellow, and red colorway, just like Slack’s user interface and logo design, with a Slack logo added to the tongue tag of each pair.

Made with custom-branded boxes, size tags, insoles, and more, the Dunks add more color on a speckled midsole. The Air Max 1 customs keep the midsole white, but add a Slack Bot graphic on the lateral heel to match the tongue tag and insoles. The custom pairs were made exclusively for select Slack employees, so unless you’re in the office, you’re probably better off breaking out your own paintbrushes on a triple-white pair of Dunks.
Slack Employees Only
The Custom Slack Nike Shoes won’t be released to the public, but if you don't work at Slack and you want a pair, it might be time to touch grass. Like all customs, though, they can be remade with enough commission money or careful arts and crafts time.
