If you were a basketball fan around the turn of the 21st Century, SLAM Magazine no doubt holds a special place in your heart. A few steps closer to the culture than ESPN or Sports Illustrated, SLAM got to the heart of the reasons we loved basketball, featuring athlete profiles and legendary photo shoots, but also fashion and sneaker coverage full of on and off the court heat. Beyond the mag, SLAM has been featured in clothing and sneaker collabs for years, adding the publication’s perspective to pairs of hoops shoes across brands.
SLAM has been publishing for over 30 years now, and for the magazine’s latest sneaker collab, it’s teaming up with Nike for a colorful approach to Beaverton’s latest and greatest, plus a retro classic from SLAM’s heyday. The SLAM x Nike Basketball pack will feature three shoes: a Sabrina 3, a GT Cut 4, and a Zoom Hyperflight. Unlike the last time SLAM teamed up with sneaker brands in 2024 (sans the Puma MB.04), these pairs are all getting released to the public.
So far, we’ve only seen one quick preview of the upcoming pack, a heel-side view of the safety orange patent leather Zoom Hyperflight with an embroidered SLAM “S” logo against a smoke grey heel tab and a clean white outsole underfoot. The same safety orange color is featured on the GT Cut 4, with a smoke grey base and safety orange accents added to the yet-to-be-seen Sabrina 3.
The SLAM x Nike Basketball Pack will be released Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail prices are set at $210 for the GT Cut 4, $135 for the Sabrina 3, and $170 for the Zoom Hyperflight.
