Steph Curry is getting his groove back. The best shooter to ever touch a basketball spent the past couple of months sidelined with an injury, but as the Warriors prep to make a run in the Play-In, the Chef is back cooking on the court and off, continuing his sneaker free agency with new heat for the tunnel walk.
Before taking a home W against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, Curry stepped into the Chase Center in an outfit dedicated to every corner of Northern California. Up top, Curry repped Valejo and San Francisco with a Sick Wid It Records football jersey in Niners red and gold, and on his feet, Curry shouted out the night’s opponent with a pair of Nike Zoom Hyperflight in black patent leather made famous by the handles God himself, former Kings point guard Jason Williams.
Williams, aka White Chocolate, was known for his incredible dribbling and passing abilities during his stint in the league, and has remained relevant due to podcasts and other social media endeavors. Williams got back with Nike this year after a decades-long hiatus to help launch the Zoom Hyperflight retro, including the black patent pair Curry wore, a shiny gold exclusive, and a purple PE from Williams’ days with the Kings.
With the season coming to a close soon, Curry already has plans for his collection of sneaker free agency pairs, with an auction set to send Steph’s signed and game-worn shoes to the highest bidder, all to benefit charity, of course.
