Sadly, Steph Curry is on vacation instead of giving us playoff highlights, but on the court or not, Chef Curry is always making headlines. After a long year of sneaker free agency that saw Steph wear three different pairs a day from across the sneaker brand spectrum, Curry teamed up with his Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation and Sotheby’s to auction off the collection, complete with signatures and never-before-seen pairs.
The auction is over now, and it’s safe to say that Steph still has superstar pull. With 81 sneakers sold, the auction brought in a total of $1,721,098 for charity. That breaks down to an average of $21,248 per pair, with a high mark of $121,600 for the Nike Hyperdunk Christmas Day Steph PE.
In addition to the Hyperdunk PE, Steph’s Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita pair, the first shoe he wore after leaving Under Armour, sold for $76,800, while his Kobe 4 Protro CHBL went for $70,400. The cheapest pair? The Brooks Cascadia 1, which sold for $1,792. Another lowlight? Steph’s boneless Timbs went for a mere $3,200.
