Stone Island has been collaborating with New Balance for years now, adding earth tone suedes and badge graphics to every corner of the Boston-based brand’s catalog. As New Balance continues to roll out collabs on the new ABZORB 1890 silhouette from their network of outside creatives, Stone Island is stepping up to the plate with a new two-pack of co-branded colorways.

Stone Shades for Stone Island

The Stone Island x New Balance 1890 Pack was teased on Instagram in a pair of in-hand previews from insiders winglee0330 and dane6fune, with one pair in grey mesh and suede with a tan overlay, and another in black mesh and suede with an olive green structure. On both pairs, the mix of mesh on the toe and side panels with suede on the heel is a nice take on New Balance’s history, transposed on the new model.

On the black pair, a grey midsole is interrupted by a bright green set of ABZORB cushioning, and on the grey pair, a pale green midsole features a translucent ABZORB stack in the heel. Even in just one quick image of each, you can clearly see Stone Island compass logos on the tongue.

As of now, the Stone Island x New Balance 1890 Pack doesn’t have a release date or retail price, but at the pace that New Balance is dropping 1890s, we expect to hear more soon. To keep up with all the latest New Balance collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
