Anthony Edwards knows how to make a moment. The four-time All-Star has made waves with his second signature shoe, whether it be dynamic colorways or hilarious commercials throwing shots at other NBA players, adidas always lets Anthony Edwards’ personality shine.
After revealing a Hellstar collab in a sandy desert camo colorway, Anthony Edwards and the Los Angeles-based streetwear brand appear to have more up their sleeves. The Minnesota Timberwolves revealed a new colorway of the AE 2 with Hellstar branding just ahead of the second day of NBA All-Star festivities.
If the tan colorway is meant for the sand, then this version of the Hellstar x adidas AE 2 Black Camo is sanctioned for stealth activities. Whereas the first colorway went with a Desert Storm camo that took over the side panels, heel tab, toe, and tongue, the Black Camo iteration goes a bit more muted, opting for a black and grey woodland camouflage that only highlights the silhouette’s micro-perforated side panels. Keeping with the lowkey look are the addition of glossy black side panels while the silver vents reappear from the Desert Camo colorway.
The Hellstar branding on the tongue, heel, and ankle also sees a color swap from the bright green of the first colorway to a more menacing shade of red. If this rendition is anything like the Desert Camo pair, we can assume there’s Hellstar branding tinged with a hint of red on the translucent outsole as well.
The colorway also features two alternative pairs of laces in white and red to give it a bit of a pop. Now that Ant-Man has two colorways of Hellstars on the horizon, we can only guess which pair he’ll lace up for the All-Star Game at the Intuit Dome.
