Depending on what era you’re from, the term old school means very different things. But as Zoomers turn into adults, Gen Alpha continues to melt their young minds online, and Millennials move into the depths of middle age, the old school switched from Run-DMC and hair metal to 50 Cent and pop punk. It makes sense, then, that the Y2K era’s most famous drummer puts his spin on the Vans Old Skool with a nod to his history.
Dues Paid
The Travis Barker x Vans Old Skool White is the second colorway from Barker’s Vans collab, adding a White pair to a partnership that started with a black pair with matching co-branding accents. Reversing the canvas upper, Barker’s “DUES PAID” script is once again added to the toeboxes, with “PAID” on the left shoe and “DUES” on the right.
Seen in just one preview image on the Vans website, the second colorway adds black to the side panel wave stripe logo, with black barbed wire graphics linked around the border of the midsole all the way around the shoe except for the toebox, with a black foxing stripe sitting above it.
