An Undefeated x Nike Air Tuned Max is Rumored to Release in 2027

Before we even get three months into 2026, rumors are already sprouting about sneaker releases in 2027. This should come as no surprise, as footwear brands work on 12-18 month cycles for release, so employees working on projects right now won’t see the fruits of their labor until over a year away. According to reliable leak account Bubble Kope, Undefeated is teaming up with Nike for a Air Tuned Max collab in 2027.

The Nike Air Tuned Max was originally released in 1999 under the famed Nike Alpha Project, a design initiative that brought up groundbreaking silhouettes like the Hyperflight, Shox BB4, Flightposite, Air Presto, and many more. You’ll likely remember the sneaker for its Celery colorway, which featured an iridescent copper look that UK rapper Skepta would use on his Nike Air Max 97 collab.

Nike previously retroed the Air Tuned Max in 2021 to much fanfare, but quickly shelved the sneaker after only a handful of releases. The last pair to hit shelves was the Black Volt Orange colorway at the start of 2022, meaning this Undefeated collab would mark the first release for the sneaker in over 5 years.

As for what Undefeated’s rumored Nike Air Tuned Max collab would look like, that’s a mystery. There’s no color code or specific details on the release aside from a rumor of a 2027 drop.
