Vanessa Bryant has revealed a handful of new Nike Kobe colorways across a variety of models. In posts to her Instagram stories, she unveiled new unreleased colorways of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro, Nike Kobe 6 Protro, Nike Kobe 9 Protro, and the Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro. These fresh colorways run the gamut from the snake-themed to celebrating his football fandom.
As of now, the only pair confirmed to release is the Kobe 5 Protro Eagles, but the rest may remain exclusives. Check below for a breakdown of each pair, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world.
Nike Kobe 5 Protro Eagles

Though he may have rocked the purple and gold for the entirety of his playing career, Kobe was a Philadelphia native and a dedicated Eagles fan. Bryant even donned an Eagles jersey in the pre-dress code days of the league as one of the most memorable outfits of the era. That love and hometown connection make it the perfect tie-in for a Nike Kobe 5 colorway.

The colorway features smooth green suede on the toe and side panels. White tumbled leather touches down on the eyestay. The Swoosh gets done up with a black chenille fabric to give it an extra sporty touch. The colorway also brings to mind Kobe and Gianna’s last public appearance at the Lakers game in which Kobe donned an Eagles beanie.
Expect a release in Spring 2027 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro Polka Dot Pack

Among the sneakers Vanessa Bryant previewed, few stuck out more than the duo of polka dot-themed Kobe 6s. These two striking colorways stray away from the usual snake or sports theming, with inspiration coming from Vanessa and Kobe’s tradition of visiting Disneyland. Vanessa even posted “Kobe will always be the Mickey to my Minnie.”
One pair features a white base with bold red dots strewn across its scaly upper, while one flips the colors for a red base and white dots. That same shade of red carries over to the outsole as well. Black accents on the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue and the Swoosh complete the look. Nike Kobe 6 Protro Bellisma

Vanessa Bryant also showed off a pair of Kobe 6s called Bellissima, the Italian word for “beautiful” as a nod to Kobe’s childhood spent in Italy. The colorway starts with a white base covered in floral graphics and with three-dimensional petals sewn on. A matching embroidered pink Swoosh helps to add a soft quilted look to the model. The look is completed by a classic rubber gum sole.
Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro Dusty Pink

Now what if you took the floral sneaker and smoothed it to the cleanest elements? That’s the Kobe 9 Dusty Pink. A light shade of pink covers the mesh upper from heel to toe. A white Swoosh breaks up the monotony across the upper, while black accents the Kobe logo on the tongue and the structural supports on the heel. A rubber gum sole finishes the understated colorway.
Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro California Mountain Snake

What’s a Kobe preview without a snake-themed colorway? Vanessa previewed a colorway inspired by one of California’s endemic snake species, the California Mountain snake. The snake mimics the brightly colored coral snake, and so does this colorway. The sneaker echoes the black, red, and white bands across the upper of the slithering sneaker. Curiously, a red X is embroidered near the lateral toe, possibly acknowledging the mountain snake’s non-venomous nature.
Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Iron Man

Jarvis, activate Mamba Mentality. Kobe’s love for superheroes is no secret, not to mention the wealth of Batman colorways he already has on hand. With the Kobe 9 Elite High, the sneaker shifts from the Distinguished Competition to a colorway similar to the Iron Avenger. The silhouette features a red mesh build with metallic golden support on the side wall and ankle echoing the golden trim found on Tony Stark’s armor. A Blue Swoosh inspired by Iron Man’s repulsor rays completes the look.
