Vans has been on a roll lately. From helping Philly skaters reclaim a downtown plaza to fueling line-ups around the country for pearlized pairs of Old-Skools and Era collabs. For its latest tweak on a ‘60s classic, the SoCal brand is streamlining the Authentic into a two-piece remix with two lace loops under a new name, Ease.
The Vans Premium Authentic Ease arrives just in time for the 60th anniversary of the Authentic, and not long after a full refresh of Vans’ most iconic silhouette. On the Ease, the Authentic sole and toecap stay the same, but the rest of the upper is reimagined in one piece, with the tongue created out of creative folding, with two boat shoe-style lace loops holding it together.

Debuting in four shades of monochrome suede, the fifth pair features a classic black and white checkerboard pattern. On the suede colorways, Vans keeps things earth-toned in Mushroom Brown, Cocoa Brown, Faded Black, and Blanc de Blanc White. Whether you’re skating them or just keeping up with the Vans-obsessed crowd, the Authentic Ease is a welcome addition to the Vans renaissance.
The Vans Premium Authentic Ease is available now through Vans and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail prices are set at $75 on the Mushroom Brown and Cocoa Brown pairs and $80 on the Faded Black, Blanc de Blanc, and Checkerboard pairs.
