The EQL raffle for the Virgil Abloh Archives x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Alaska is now closed, with winners of the highly anticipated AJ 1 expected to be announced today, March 23. But for those who were lucky enough to be in select cities across the globe, including Chicago, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, and more, you had a chance at copping the shoes in person. In addition to these in-person activations, Virgil Abloh Archives teamed up with local brands to create special T-shirts celebrating the release of Virgil’s iconic AJ 1 High design.

Three brands collaborated with the V.A.A. on T-shirts: Pablo T-Shirt Factory (PTSF), Awake NY, and Corteiz. Each of these brands helped the V.A.A. with pop-ups around the globe; PTSF with the Paris campout, Awake NY with the EQL raffle pickup in NYC, and Corteiz with the free throw pop-up in London. All three drops took place over the weekend in their respective cities.

The standout in the three-pack is the Corteiz T-shirt, which features a cartoon depiction of Michael Jordan going for a dunk while wearing the V.A.A. x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Alaska, with repeating V.A.A. graphics behind him. Awake NY and PTSF kept it pretty simple, with the latter opting for a large Helvetica font text noting the drop location for the AJ 1 High. Awake NY also uses the same Helvetica font that Virgil was well known for employing on his designs, but reserves the drop location and info for a small chest logo across from the co-branded V.A.A. and Awake NY logos.

While the T-shirts (aside from the Awake NY design) are expected to remain exclusive to their respective pop-ups, you still have a chance at copping the Virgil Abloh Archives x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. A wider global release will take place on April 3 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
