We’ve seen a lot of pre-production sample pairs before, but in skateboarding, the trial colorways often take a backseat to material shifts, as skaters look for the perfect flick, grip, or boardfeel. For Olympian and street ripper Yuto Horigome, his latest colorway is the first PE we’ve seen on the all-new Nike SB Air Force 1, so you know he had to get it right.
After popping up on Yuto’s feet in a new Instagram clip last week, we’ve now got a look at a pre-production pair of the Yuto Forces, this time trading the olive green accent colors for golden yellow. The base of White, Iron Grey, and Coconut Milk remains from the final color combo, as well as olive green accents on the outsole and the Yuto feather logo at the lateral heel.
The major shift in the sample pair comes on the sockliner and lateral Swoosh, which switch to a Lakers-friendly shade of golden yellow. The contrast adds a nice bit of brightness without going too wild, but also sacrifices some of the cohesiveness found on the final pair. Which do you prefer?
The retail version of the Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Air Force 1 Low will be released Fall 2026 through Nike SNKRS and in-store from select Nike SB skate shop accounts. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $125. For all the latest Nike SB Air Force 1 news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
