Take a trip down memory lane and remember what the footwear world was like a decade ago. Foam-based footwear was not prevalent, but people were still clamoring for comfort-focused silhouettes, and adidas had them covered with an array of Boost-laden sneakers. Ultraboosts, NMDs, and all the Yeezy sneakers went mega-viral, with pairs selling out and reselling on the aftermarket for well above retail price. Today, Boost technology is still lauded for its comfort, but no longer drives crazy hype as it did in the past. Maybe adidas is looking to recapture some of this with its latest update to the Boost cushioning platform, Hyperboost, which was quietly debuted by football legend Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane was spotted making a visit to Dubai and multiple adidas stores while wearing the all-new adidas Hyperboost Edge, a new model that joins the already-revealed Hyperboost Euphoria. While it was tough to get a full glimpse of the sneaker on Zidane’s feet, official images reveal the new model in full.
We can see a large stack height of Hyperboost, a new iteration of the beaded foam technology, attached to a textile and fused TPU upper. Hyperboost Edge branding appears on the heel tab, while Three Stripes wrap up from the outsole onto the lateral sidewall of the midsole. Finishing the sneaker is the LightTraxion outsole.
Exact tech specs for the adidas Hyperboost Edge are not available at this moment, but with Zinedine rocking the sneaker in public, it’s likely adidas will give the new model a full rollout in the coming weeks. For now, we know adidas has plans to drop a wide range of colors for the adidas Hyperboost Edge in July 2026, but as we’ve seen with previous new models from The Three Stripes, an early limited drop usually takes place before the wider global launch. Retail for the sneaker is set at $200. Check below for official images of the debut colorway, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world.
