Nike’s push to bring basketball shoes off the court again has been present throughout its new performance silhouettes, like the GT Future, and its retro drops, like the Foamposite Pro and Hyperflight. You can’t talk about the intersection of basketball shoes and fashion from the early 2000s without bringing up SLAM Magazine, so you know Nike had to tap in with the mag for a new collab collection.
The SLAM x Nike Hyperflight is the first pair we’ve seen from the upcoming partnership that will also feature a GT Cut 4, Sabrina 3, and Ja 4. After seeing Steph Curry pull up to Sacramento in a Jason Williams tribute pair of Hyperflights last week, sneaker insider and SLAM collabs honcho Nick DePaula upped the ante, pulling up at Golden One Center in the upcoming collab pair.

Zach Harris is a writer based in Philadelphia. His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Vice, Complex, High Times, and more. He is obsessed with skateboarding and bowling. He is still looking for his first 300. For tips, reviews, and anything in size 10.5 - zach.h@soleretriever.com
After getting a preview look at the heel of the pair in February, the on-foot pics from DePuala are the first clear images of the shoe we’ve seen. Covered in orange patent leather like the OG SLAM logo, the pair adds a white Swoosh on the lateral toe, grey on the tongue, laces, and outsole, and hits of black on the side panel structure. If you grew up in the era when SLAM KICKS was the authority on all things basketball shoes, this is absolutely a must-cop.
The SLAM x Nike Hyperflight will be released alongside the rest of the SLAM x Nike Basketball pack Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $170. For all the latest Nike Basketball collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile.
