A-COLD-WALL has been on the cutting edge of the British fashion scene since its founding in 2015, with plenty of sneaker collabs with Nike and Converse to prove it. For its latest sneaker partnership, though, the brand is heading off the beaten path for a new collab with Salomon on one of the gorpcore favorite’s most beloved retro silhouettes.

The A-COLD-WALL x Salomon ACS Pro keeps the 20-year-old trail model’s base shape, but switches up the material with a nod to ACW’s utilitarian luxury tendencies. Keeping the colorway neutral, the pair mixes a black toe with a tan toebox, olive green lace panel, cream side panel cage, and brown accents on the tongue and heel.
Material-wise, the toe, side panel, and heel are covered in a clear protective overlay, while the tan base is made in an armored knit mesh with diamond graphic accent. The lace panel and heel tab bring suede to the mix. A hit of blue mesh on the sockliner and a grey midsole bring the whole thing together with an ACW logo on the lateral toe for some subtle co-branding.
