Awake NY Teases its Upcoming Air Jordan 6 Collection in New Lookbook

Michael Jordan laced up the Air Jordan 6 for the first time 35 years ago in the NBA All-Star Game, with this sneaker being the first he would wear across his six different championship seasons. To commemorate the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker’s 35th birthday, Jordan Brand is going all out on the silhouette throughout 2026, starting with the Infrared Salesman Sample that just dropped last week. Don’t think they forgot about collaborations, though, as long-running Jordan Brand partner Awake NY will be launching two colorways of the AJ 6 in the latter half of the year.
Rumors of the Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 pack sprung up last year, but the Brooklyn-based streetwear label finally confirmed at least one of the two pairs via a model in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 lookbook. The first photo shows us the Midnight Navy colorway, which looks like a collage of color schemes placed across the AJ 6’s panels. Game Royal shades appear on the suede underlays, with light blue (almost like UNC’s famous shade) appearing on the midfoot overlay, laces, and lace shroud. Midnight Navy takes over the heel and collar, while the entire upper is stitched with infrared 23 for a bright contrasting pop. Final details visible include Awake’s baroque “A” logo, a black and infrared 23 midsole, and a clear rubber outsole.
Awake NY is coming off a hit Air Jordan 5 project that dropped last year, which featured the model in two color schemes: Black Racer Blue and Pink Ice. The pink pair became one of the contenders for Sneaker of the Year across various outlets and on social media, and it looks like the formula of a blue and a pink sneaker will be employed once again on this new two-pack of AJ 6s. Alongside the pictured Midnight Navy colorway is an unseen Playful Pink option, which also features infrared 23 accents alongside two other shades of pink.
The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 Retro Collection will be released in the Fall 2026 season through Awake NY, Nike SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230 for each pair.
