Awake NY Gives the Air Jordan 6 a Split Pink Makeover

After streetwear label Awake NY brought energy to the “one before the 1,” the Jordan Air Ship, Angelo Baque’s NYC-based brand has become a frequent collaborator with Jordan Brand. Last year, they dropped one of the best Air Jordan 5 collabs with a two-pack of colorways, one in black and racer blue and a second pair that was on the shortlist for Sneaker of the Year awards, the Pink Ice rendition. This color palette theme continues with Awake NY’s Air Jordan 6 collab, as after we got a look at a black-and-blue Awake NY Jordan 6, Imran Potato has revealed the pink colorway for this project.

Just like its black and blue counterpart, the Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 Retro Playful Pink uses a split upper, placing lighter tones on the front half and brighter shades in the back. A light pink hue is used on the overlay around the midfoot, with a slightly more vibrant pink shade used on the toecap and tongue. The plastic midfoot cage, which contains Awake NY’s baroque “A” logo, is done in a semi-translucent pink, contrasting the hot pink shade used on the heel and collar.

Hits of Infrared 23 land on the lace lock, the heel spoiler, and the Nike Air text on the heel. Underfoot sits a black midsole with Infrared 23 accents, almost like the iconic Infrared AJ 6, while a semi-translucent rubber runs up from the outsole to encapsulate the Air unit in the heel. Interestingly, the midsole is also identical to the other pair in the collection.

The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 Retro Playful Pink will be released alongside the Midnight Navy colorway during the Fall 2026 season. Expect a release via Awake NY and potentially a drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Retail is set at $230.
