When the 2026-27 NBA season tips off, we’ll be seeing an entirely new league. The off-season moves saw some of the biggest stars pack their bags for new cities, including LeBron James, who is now on the Philadelphia 76ers. Fellow Nike signature athlete Ja Morant is also looking for greener pastures, quite literally, with his move to Portland, Oregon. He’ll be taking the hardwood for the Trail Blazers in his all-new signature sneaker, the Nike Ja 4, and thus far, it’s looking like a great follow-up to the mega-hit that was the Ja 3. Next up on the Ja 4 agenda is a blacked-out Dark Mode colorway.

Nike Ja 4 Dark Mode Details

The Nike Ja 4 utilizes a textured armored upper, done here in a stealthy black hue that coats almost the entire sneaker. The synthetic outer layer protected the breathable mesh base below, which is also rendered in a black shade. Moving up to the top of the tongue, Ja’s logo breaks up the monochrome, seen in a light blue shade. More contrast comes thanks to the Swoosh and the JA-Frame TPU reinforcement, which spells out Ja’s name in a chrome finish.

Inside, the Ja 4 features Cushlon 3.0 foam throughout alongside a Super Critical Foam insole. As we just mentioned, the midfoot features the JA-Frame TPU reinforcement, which is meant to contain the foot and provide stability for quick cuts on the court. The internals are contained within the black rubber outsole, while the JA-Frame contrasts the shoe with its chrome and blue finish.

Nike Ja 4 Dark Mode Release Info

The Nike Ja 4 Dark Mode will be released September 4, 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and grade school sizing, the retail price is set at $130 for adult pairs and $115 for the kids' sizes.
