We’ve been talking a lot lately about the influx of running hype and running collabs taking over the sneaker industry, but when those sneakers are based in the local community and connected to events for the public, it all starts to make more sense. For Sydney, Australia-based Song for the Mute, the clothing label’s latest sneaker collab hits close to home.
For the brand’s latest in a long-standing collaboration with adidas, SFTM is adding yet another Evo SL to the collab ranks, this time in Dove Grey. Covering the grey mesh upper in large, childlike drawings, the colorway features branches stretching across the toebox and the words “Run, Run, Run” on the medial toe.
The SFTM collab contradicts those instructions on the medial toebox with “slow down” branding on the tongue. SFTM co-branding is added to the tongue stabilizer and lateral midsole. To debut the pair, the brand is teaming up with Sydney’s A.P. Bakery and their A.P. Run Club for a joint run the weekend before the shoe debuts.
The Song for the Mute x adidas Adizero Evo SL Dove Grey will be released August 20, 2026 through SFTM, adidas, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180. For all the latest adidas collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
