Donovan Mitchell might be windmill gathering his gear to head to Cancun after falling to the New York Knicks in the Conference Finals but he’s not leaving the city vulnerable. The All-NBA guard is bringing friendly neighborhood vibes to his latest signature sneaker, the adidas DON Issue 8. After unveiling the initial red-and-blue colorway in the first game against the Detroit Pistons, Mitchell brought out a new colorway of his silhouette to wrap the series.
Now, after Mitchell rocked the pair on the court, official images of the adidas DON Issue 8 Silver Spida have arrived. The sneaker features a white padded ankle collar trimmed by neon green piping that splits it from the webhead-esque midfoot paneling. The breathable mesh midsection marvelously mimics Peter Parker’s famed suit design, something the initial colorway highlighted swimmingly swingingly with its red and blue colorway.
The adidas DON Issue 8 Silver Spida nomenclature may have you thinking that the sneaker coincides with Peter Parker’s iconic silver Spider-Armor Mark 1, but this colorway actually more closely mimics the Superior Octopus coloration. Hints of purple peak through the midfoot support, the adidas logo on the heel, and the tongue tag. Silver details highlight the toe, the Lightstrike Pro midsole, midfoot shank, and heel counter. The same green found lining the piping also carries over to the sockliner, the inner portion of the midfoot shank, and the Three Stripes on the heel.
The adidas DON Issue 8 Silver Spida will be released Summer 2026 via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the adidas DON issue 8 will retail for $120.
