Pharrell Williams’ adidas Adistar Jellyfish has been the surprise hit of the year. Sure, it helps when anything is branded by Skateboard P and rolled out with the return of Clipse, but adidas is hoping that the hype is about the bulky runner shape, as well. In what looks like an effort to capitalize on the popularity of the exclusive Jellyfish, adidas is dropping the adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 with a similar design aesthetic.
The latest colorway of the Adistar XLG 2.0 is a blend of green and black that encompasses two colorways of Pharrell’s Jellyfish. The comparisons may seem heavy-handed, but so are the similarities. Featuring a similar beefy toe, mesh panels, and TPU exoskeleton, the XLG 2.0 is a subdued version of Pharrell’s latest, with a slightly slimmer shape because it lacks the protruding TPU wings that define the Jellyfish.

This time around, the mesh is green, the Three Stripes, lace loops, and tech accents are grey, and the rest of the shoe is all black, including the TPU shell that provides structure for the side panel. The adidas Adistar logo stands out in bright green on the black tongue to round out the colorway.
The adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 Black Green will be released in 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the price is still TBD. To be the first to find out when the drop date for these XLGs is announced, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
