Those of us who live in metro areas may not be familiar with having to be on the lookout for random animals darting across the road, but there are many parts of the country where this is common practice. Sneaker Politics is well aware, as they’re based in Louisiana, home to plenty of wildlife. Through collaborative projects, Sneaker Politics has been able to tell the world about natural wonders and wildlife, and it’s tapping into this theme once again for a new adidas project on the Goukana.
Sneaker Politics debuted its adidas Goukana Roadkill via a short video posted to its social media accounts. In this quick ad spot, a red F-150 makes its way down Route 66, which runs through parts of west Texas (a state Politics also calls home), and ends up hitting what one would think is an animal crossing the road. Instead, it’s revealed to be the adidas Goukana in a creamy mixture featuring pink, black, and silver accents.
While the video depicts the sneaker covered in tire tracks and dinged up, Sneaker Politics isn’t going to sell you ACTUAL roadkill; the pair is done in a clean suede and mesh combo. The Three Stripes come in white leather with pink lining, while the stacked Lightstrike foam midsole is rendered in a gradient pink to grey. Final details include Sneaker Politics logos on the heel tab and insole.
The Sneaker Politics x adidas Goukana Roadkill will be released on February 28, 2026 via Sneaker Politics online and in-store. An EQL raffle for the sneaker is currently open and will close on the 27th. Retail is set at $160.
