Baseball is back. America’s pastime has always been the sport of the summer, but over the past couple of years, the sport has regained a place in American pop culture that it had previously ceded to basketball, football, and sports fandom’s splintering attention span. Before the MLB season got started, the World Baseball Classic brought the nine-inning drama back to our TVs, along with some of the cleanest cleats to hit any grass this year.
The adidas BadBo 1.0 Puerto Rico Baseball Cleat first hit the diamond on the feet of Kike Hernandez, Edwin Diaz, and other Team PR players at the WBC in March, and now, after months of speculation, the pair is finally slated for a public release. Taking on a white and blue colorway with red accents, the cleats are set to arrive in two form factors: one with metal spikes and the other with plastic.

Featuring two shades of blue across the upper, the lighter shade is done in slick nubuck on the toebox, heel, and bottom of the side panels, while a darker shade of hairy suede covers the rest of the side panels except the perforated triangle cut-outs, which get a hit of white to match the tongue, laces, and ankle collar. Just like the WBC pairs, the colorway adds BB and PR in red on the medial side of the ankle collar, with adidas logos in more red on the lateral side.
The adidas BadBo 1.0 Puerto Rico Baseball Cleat will be released Summer 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is still TBD. To keep up with all the latest adidas Bad Bunny news and drops, download the Sole Retriever App.
