Summer is almost here, and that means bringing basketball outside for constant blacktop runs and park court practice sessions. For some, bringing the latest signature model to the street is the perfect way to show off, but for most of us, the outdoor runs are the spot for discount takedown models that are perfect for beating up without much worry.
The adidas Believe That 1 Velocity Blue is the latest NBA signature takedown model for kids’ summer camp and weekend pick-up runs, dropping a few months ahead of Edwards’ third AE signature model. On the Believe That 1, Ant keeps the general design sensibilities intact, but switches to simpler materials.
This Velocity Blue colorway is a clear callback to one of the original AE 1 colorways, and features a fully monochrome silhouette from toe to heel, with neon green accents on the laces, AE tongue logo, and heel tab. The midsole features Dreamstrike technology, combining a solid mix of comfort and stability.
The adidas Believe That 1 Velocity Blue will be released Summer 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Pairs are loaded for a release on May 1 in the EU, meaning we won’t have to wait too long here in the US. Available in adult and grade school sizing, retail is set at $100 for men’s sizes and $80 for GS pairs. For all the latest Anthony Edwards adidas news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
