The Whitaker Group Added a Retro Running Sole to the adidas BW Army

The Whitaker Group’s expansive Do Not Duplicate collection with adidas has been one of the retail group’s biggest collabs to date, spanning a number of drops and a strong run of eclectic silhouette choices. For the pack’s latest pair, the TWG team is trying their hand at a new hybrid, bringing together adidas’ retro runner history with the current success of BW Army.

The Whitaker Group x adidas BW Run Do Not Duplicate mixes up materials and colors on the BW Army upper, starting with a dark maroon toe in suede and then keeping the color, but switching the material to soft leather on the lace panel. Grey nylon covers the base of the side panels, while a strip of white suede returns streaking vertically down the middle.

On the midsole, an indented and stacked 1970s-style running sole gives the shoe a sporty look and a little height. Minimal branding is featured on the pair, with a gold adidas logo at the lateral heel and a black white tag stitched onto the tongue.
