Argentina kicks off its World Cup play Tuesday night against Algeria, and with this likely being Lionel Messi’s last trip to the global stage with the squad, his longtime shoe sponsor, adidas, is going all out for Messi’s Ultimo Tango. After getting a look at an expansive El Ultimo Tango (The Last Dance) collection, a Kith capsule collab, and a campaign with Mark Gonzalez for Thrasher Magazine’s adidas Argentina partnership, Messi is giving his adidas line a relaxing break at the golf course.
The Lionel Messi x adidas Codechaos Golf El Ultimo Tango continues the World Cup-themed collab collection with a spikeless golf shoe sitting on a plush Boost midsole. Bringing a distinctly Messi vibe to the tee box, the Codechaos collab adds white and blue Argentina colors with Messi branding in gold on the tongue and insoles.

Starting with a creamy off-white base, the colorway adds a blue gradient that starts bright on the toe and swoops in waves across the side panels until it turns deep ocean-toned at the heel. In between, gold accents add Three Stripes at the back of the side panels and striped detailing to the toe. The colorway is an identical match to the Adistar and F50 Elite cleats from the initial El Ultimo Tango release.
The Lionel Messi adidas Codechaos El Ultimo Tango will be released June 17, 2026, through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
