Sometimes, trend cycles intersect across brands, and it can be hard to tell who came up with it in the first place. For example, we’ve seen countless sneaker mule hybrids, sneaker loafer hybrids, and soccer inspiration from every company in the business over the past year. At Nike and adidas, the major brands both figured out how to drop soccer cleats with clear soles covering the spikes at the same time, and now, they're both looking towards a square future.
The Forget-me-nots x adidas Forum Square (W) is the latest cowboy boot-style sneaker with a squared-off toe up front. The Japanese womenswear boutique brings its take to the recently released adidas Forum Low with a pointy toe that squares off at the front.

The new sole turns into a low kitten heel at the back, giving the silhouette some high-heel slope with more rubber midsole. The colorway brings a full foot of tan brown suede with white leather Three Stripes and gold branding accents. Arriving just weeks after Nike debuted square-toed Air Force 1s and Air Max 90s, it looks like we’ve got a full-fledged fad on our hands.
The Forget-me-nots x adidas Forum Square (W) will be released July 18, 2026, through Forget-Me-Nots in-store and online. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at approximately $115, converted from Japanese yen.
