Metalwood is one of the best streetwear companies in the business, and that’s in large part because they’re not just a streetwear company. Sure, they sell graphic tees and well-cut pants at boutique retailers across the globe, but the brand’s LA home base will re-grip your golf clubs as you shop for a new camo hat. Oh yeah, and the brand is heavily tied into the local skate scene, and can take at least some credit for the insane amount of skate-to-golf crossover on Instagram these days.
On the footwear side of things, Metalwood has worked on niche golf shoe collabs and Keen sandals, but a recent long-term partnership with adidas has brought new clout to their collabs. In addition to performance golf spikes for the green, Metalwood brought its energy to adidas Skateboarding, too, debuting a kickflip-ready remix of the Predator Sala soccer shoe.
After debuting the shoe in burgundy at the beginning of the year, the Predator collection is ready to add another colorway, arriving this month in a perfectly skateable triple-black. Featuring a soft black suede upper with shiny black accents, the Metalwood branding is as subtle as possible, only appearing on the left tongue and insoles in more tonal black.
The Metalwood x adidas Predator Sala Black will be released August 15, 2026 through Metalwood, adidas, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest from the Metalwood x adidas collab, download the Sole Retriever App.
