Buddy Guy left Louisiana for Chicago in 1957, and the rest, as they say, is history. The legendary bluesman became a global sensation, bringing his unique style and twang to every corner of the globe. With his mom still in Louisiana, though, Buddy promised that he would get famous, buy a polka-dot Cadillac, and drive back to the Bayou to show his mom he made it.
Instead of a Cadillac, Guy got Fender to make a signature polka dot electric guitar, which eventually turned into a retail collab and an icon of Guy’s style. Always staying true to Louisiana’s incredible music history, local boutique Sneaker Politics took Buddy at his word, wrapping a Caddy and an adidas Handball Spezial in polka dots to celebrate the story.
The Sneaker Politics x adidas Handball Spezial Rhythm & Blues features a full coat of polka dot leather panels, with blue with white dots on the T-toe, red with white spots on the lace panel, white with black dots on the base panels, and black with white dots on the heel. A Politics “P” logo is added to the heel tab in gold, with a Sneaker Politics 20-year anniversary logo on the insoles.
The latest Sneaker Politics x adidas collab is set to release September 12, 2026, through Sneaker Politics in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $110. To keep up with all the latest adidas collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
