Although adidas is partaking in a new City Series with Bad Bunny, honoring his home country of Puerto Rico through three adidas Gazelle Indoor colorways, the brand has plans to expand on its Superstar City Series. So far, we’ve seen official images of the London and Berlin colorways, each featuring design details and motifs inspired by the respective cities. Adding to the list of European stops for the Superstar is a new Paris rendition.
Paying homage to the cultural hub that is Paris, this Superstar is inspired by shearling jackets worn by ‘90s French rappers. More specifically, the shearling is reserved for the lining of the tumbled leather tongue, while the rest of the sneaker takes on the same black tumbled leather. Of course, the Superstar’s iconic shell toe remains intact, done here in a contrasting cream hue. A nod to Paris’ area code, 75, is found on the added lace dubrae, written in a motocross-style.
Further nods to the City of Lights are found on the tongue and heel tab, both featuring co-branded adidas and Paris logos. Flannel tartan patterns on the insole complete the homage to the shearling jacket, while the adidas and Paris-branded hang tag and the white rubber sole unit complete the sneaker.
The adidas Superstar Paris will release November 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
