Kyrie Irving is embracing hard work and staring adversity in the eye as the Dallas Mavericks guard is working his way back from a torn ACL suffered during the 2024-2025 season. That return to form requires perseverance and a toughness forged by the need to be great.
In light of those character-defining moments, Irving is getting a subtle new colorway of his ANTA Kai 3, packed with meaning. The Kai 3 Shadow Work is a testament to self-reflection and the unseen work it takes to be elite. Shadow work, the concept of evolving through adversity and facing down challenges, serves as the basis for this monochromatic colorway.
The silhouette takes an extremely low-profile look, entrenching its breathable mesh upper with black. The understated look is accented by carbon fiber overlays across the silhouette that help drive home the colorway’s resilience and reflection theming. Hints of white on the vamp, tongue, and heel add a pop to the small Kyrie logos serving as a glint of light in the darkness. The subtle but elaborate heel stitching takes on a royal shade of purple, adding another subdued shade to the overall dark palette.
The ANTA Kai 3 Triple Black: Shadow Work was released on June 29, 2026 and is available via ANTA online, the ANTA Beverly Hills flagship store, and select retail partners, including Scheels and Dick's Sporting Goods. Available in men’s sizing, the shoe retails for $135. For all the latest in the world of streetwear and sneakers, including Kyrie’s latest ANTA releases, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
