Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov might not get the same credit as Ronnie Fieg or Wales Bonner, but when it comes to continued partnerships with major sportswear brands reshaping the sneaker industry, Kostadinov’s impact is far greater than his fame. Working with Asics to expand the Sportstyle label under his Novalis label, Kiko’s bold designs have been a major catalyst for Asics’ revival.
Taking his out-of-the-box approach to the next level, Kostadinov’s latest Asics model is a 3D-printed version of the Novalis Styrax slip-on. Made using sabo shape construction, the durable 3D printed shoe features a semi-permeable honeycomb weave throughout, with an Asics logo overlaid across the upper and a Novalis logo on the tongue.
