Converse has over 100 years of footwear experience under its belt, and in that time, the iconic Chuck Taylor has undergone multiple makeovers. This ranges from inline releases that change the color to avant-garde collabs with the likes of Rick Owens. The latest outside partner to bring new energy to the Chuck borrows heavily from that very Rick aesthetic.

OUR LEGACY WORK SHOP, the EU-based fashion label, is dropping what they call the “Work Chuck,” featuring a heavily overdyed black canvas upper upcycled with bio-friendly pigments and hand-treated by the brand. The classic Chuck Taylor All-Star logo is replaced with a yin-yang symbol, which also makes an appearance on the insole. Rubberized portions on the toe and the midsole are scuffed, distressed, and aged to look as though they’ve been through it all.
