After a year full of movie-themed clogs and fur-covered platform boots inspired by 20-year-old Billboard toppers, the licensing kings at Crocs are back with another pop-culture heater, and this time they’re waiting until the clock tower hits 10:04 PM, firing up the DeLorean, and going Back to the Future.
The Back to the Future x Crocs Classic Clog pulls its design from the most famous scene in the 1985 classic, taking a snapshot of the moment when a lightning strike creates the opportunity for 88mph time travel. The upper is covered in an all-over lightning print alongside various nods to details in the film. This includes the famous “OUTATIME” license plate, the flux capacitor, and Marty’s hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II. Jibbitz charms also continue this, with Marty’s jacket, the modified DeLorean, Biff’s Sports Almanac, the clock from the clock tower, and a newspaper from 1955. The strap is designed like the exterior of the DeLorean, complete with a flux capacitor on the back, and the sole features flame graphics just like the 88mph blitz causes in the movie.
Back to The Future x Crocs Classic Clog
Back to the Future was one of the most important films in sneaker and skateboard history, inspiring countless kids to pick up their first boards and fall in love with shoes thanks to Michael J. Fox’s iconic Nike Air Mags and hoverboard. Over the years, Nike has turned the Air Mag into the ultimate grail, but the movie has also inspired Back to the Future Air Force 1s and a pack of collab Chuck Taylors from last year.
The Back to the Future x Crocs Classic Clog will be released October 21, 2025 through Crocs and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $80. For all the latest Crocs news and release info, don’t forget to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
