The Air Jordan 15 is iconic for a few reasons. Love it or hate it, the shrouded upper and extended tongue made to replicate Michael Jordan’s hanging tongue as he drove to dunk was one of the more personal numbered Jordan models from the line’s second decade. Now, as Jordan looks to bring back some forgotten models from Jordan’s post-retirement era, the 15 is making its way back to shelves without the classic tongue extension.
The Air Jordan 15 Retro 23RE is a slightly redesigned Jordan 15 for the modern era, doing away with the exaggerated tongue and replacing it with a more subtle, standard inner bootie construction that, if you squint just right, makes the shoe look a little bit closer to an adidas Harden Vol. 10 or AE 2.

The debut Muslin Black pair keeps things classic with creamy Muslin leather on the toe, bottom section of the side panels, and heel. Black woven fabric is added to the rest of the side panels, while more black hits the inner bootie and laces to bring the two-tone theme together. A slightly translucent Muslin shade is added to the outsole to round it all out.
The Air Jordan 15 23RE Muslin Black will be released June 6, 2026 through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $240. For all the latest Air Jordan retro news and drop info, make sure to download the Sole Retriever App.
