As the predecessor to the final sneaker MJ would rock on the hardwood, the lauded Air Jordan 18, the Air Jordan 17 can often feel underrated, but with a hallmark 25th anniversary on the horizon, the silhouette could be set to get its due. The Jordan 17 Low has been going through a renaissance of new colorways lately with an Infinite Archives collab at the end of 2025 and a glossy black low top version releasing just days ago. Keeping the momentum going for 2027 retros, the high-tech design is celebrating its 25th birthday next year with a shining new Metallic Silver colorway.
From the mockups, it looks like the Air Jordan 17 Low Metallic Silver will adopt a makeup close to the recent Black Patent colorway but with even more shine. Mockups point to a glistening makeup, featuring a metallic silver patent leather finish across the upper with Jordan branding on the lateral heel. The colorway will reportedly lean into the aged aesthetic with a Coconut Milk mudguard that flows into a matching midsole. Black accents anchor the shining silhouette with dark accents on the perforated collar, laces, and internal bootie. Adding to the look are the silhouette’s signature metallic silver eyelets found on the low cut model of the sneaker.
According to reports from zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 17 Low Metallic Silver is currently expected to drop on April 12, 2027, via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $245. As always, these mockups are subject to change.
