Miami-based retailer SoleFly has quite the connection to Michael Jordan. The boutique was founded by Carlos Prieto, who just so happens to be MJ’s brother-in-law. With the familial bond, SoleFly has consistently been tapped for collaborations on retro Air Jordans, dating all the way back to 2012 with the friends and family Jordan Spizike (which just ended up on our list of best Air Jordan collabs). Now, the South Florida boutique has an Air Jordan 3 releasing in Holiday 2025.
SoleFly is no stranger to the Air Jordan 3 silhouette, as back in 2014, Carlos Prieto and co. produced multiple samples of the AJ 3 inspired by the Florida lottery. While these never released to the public, SoleFly would continue to take inspiration from its home state for future Air Jordan projects, like the Miami Hurricanes for its iconic Air Jordan 1 High colorways from 2018, Cuban cafecito for their recent Air Jordan 12, and the Florida Everglades for their Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG.

Unfortunately, the University of Miami connection (SoleFly's storefront is only around 2 miles from the main campus) will not be made official on any Jordan projects for the foreseeable future, as UM has a deal with adidas. However, the pair clearly pays homage to the school, even more so considering SoleFly debuted the pair on the sideline of the Hurricanes' first game of the 2025 season. Legends like Edgerrin James and Andre Johnson were spotted wearing the shoe.
The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 Retro OG Miami Hurricanes will release Holiday 2025 through SoleFly, Nike SNKRS, and possibly select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $230. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
