The Air Jordan 3 is arguably one of the best, most popular Air Jordan silhouettes ever. Initially released in 1988, it was the first Michael Jordan signature sneaker designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield. With its exposed Air unit, clean design, and elephant print detailing, the Air Jordan 3 is a cult classic, recognized by sneakerheads and non-sneakerheads alike.
With the original Fire Red colorway returning in August 2022 with Nike Air branding for the first time, it will conclude the series, as all four OG AJ 3 colorways will now have seen at least one recent retro drop with the classic labeling. In 2013, the Air Jordan 3 Retro 88 was released. It marked the first time Nike Air branding had returned to this model since 2001’s Black Cement drop. Very limited, and it is highly sought after on today’s aftermarket.
