Now we’re talking. Jordan kicked off 2026 with insanely high standards, dropping the Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 collection and fragment design x Union x Air Jordan 1 pack this month to grail-level fanfare, complete with plenty of hits and plenty more misses. As we look towards the rest of the year, though, it’s becoming clear that The Jumpman has no plans to come back Earth, with a heavy run of retro releases filling up the schedule, including a return to the OG Bred Jordan 4.
The shoe that took the number 1 spot on our Top 10 Bred Jordans list, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred OG, is the same colorway that Mike wore when he made The Shot in Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference Finals, one of the most iconic moments in Jordan history.
Just like the OG, the shoe is covered in premium black nubuck with red accents across the branding and outsole and grey hits on the midsole and lace hardware. Last retroed in 2019 (not counting the all-leather Reimagined colorway in 2024), this time around, the Bred 4 will be closer in shape to the 1989 original, using the updated shape of the shoe that Jordan has been producing since the Air Jordan 4 SB debuted in 2023.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred OG will be released Holiday 2026 through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online. Available in full-family sizing, the retail prices are set at $230 (men), $165 (GS), $105 (PS), and $90 (TD). For all the latest Air Jordan news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
