Jordan is leaning into its retro calendar next year. The Jumpman is still rolling out new colorways and retro collections before 2026 is out, but we’re already looking forward to the brand’s 2027 releases, including pairs of the White Cement 3, Carmine 6, and Gym Red 9, with new pairs to match, like the Air Jordan 4 Retro Georgetown. The latest look forward takes us back to 1992, with an OG Air Jordan 7 Raptors colorway coming back for the first quarter of next year.
The Air Jordan 7 Retro Raptors was first released during the AJ 7’s OG run in 1992, and last saw a retro drop in 2012. 15 years later, the black nubuck pair with red and purple accents is back again, with a retro makeup that’s expected to be nearly identical to the 1992 classic. So far, the retro news doesn’t include photos, so we’ve still got 2012 images to go off.
Featuring an upper covered entirely in black nubuck, the pair adds True Red to the Jumpman on the ankle, the Jordan tongue logo, and the mountainous peaks jutting up from the midsole. Purple sits under the red on the midsole accents and pops up again on the heel tab, with the tri-color mix making the Raptors nickname clear. The pair was originally known as the “Playoff” colorway, but once Toronto got its NBA team, fans made the connection and the Raptors name has stuck.
According to @zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 7 Retro Raptors will be released February 20, 2027, through Nike and select Jordan retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $215. For all the latest Jordan news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
