Although 2025 will be filled with a variety of OG Air Jordan 1 releases to honor the model’s 40th birthday, Jordan Brand still has different variants of the AJ1 to offer to us. This lineup includes the Dr. Martens-esque Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Boot, which recently converted to a low-top for the first time since its debut in 2023. Another high-top version of the sneaker has appeared in a soothing Guava Ice color scheme.
Opting for an all-leather construction on the upper, differing from the new low-top, which first hit shelves in a black pony hair color scheme, this AJ 1 Brooklyn Boot comes coated entirely in guava ice. Familiar paneling from the Jordan 1 remains, such as the toebox, lower eyestays, Swoosh, and heel counter. However, moving up from the midfoot, the collar extends to convert the once-performance basketball model into a lifestyle boot.
This extension is quite obvious when looking at the lacing setup, which adds three extra eyelets compared to the normal AJ 1 but retains a familiar tongue that features a Nike Air-branded woven tag. An added nylon pull tab on the heel continues the guava ice theme and helps slip in and out of the extended collar. Below is a retooled midsole and outsole, aligning with the boot aesthetic of the upper by taking on a platform finish and a lugged traction pattern.
The Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Guava Ice W was released on January 20, 2025, and is available now through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store.
