Everybody knows that Michael Jordan was a bucket. When it comes to putting the ball in the hoop, His Airness sets the bar. Jordan has a record-setting 10 NBA scoring titles; only Wilt Chamberlain comes close with seven. Jordan also holds the honor of being one of the few players to score 60 or more points multiple times, a list that includes the mythical Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Damian Lillard, and James Harden.
That showcase of scoring would result in a memorable colorway for any of those players’ signature shoes, for the Jumpman it’s worthy of an entire model. The Jordan Sixty Plus, which originally launched at the height of Nike’s fusion shoe era back in 2009, is making a comeback 17 years later, but this time in a new low-top form.
The concept of the Jordan Sixty Plus leans heavily into the mythmaking of Michael Jordan, as the silhouette is an amalgamation of the models he wore during the five times he went for 60 or more. The sneaker implements the toe box design of the Air Jordan 1 into the mix, stemming from Jordan’s first playoff game, where he dropped 63 in a loss to the Celtics.
The Air Jordan 2 gets some shine with the Sixty Plus Low borrowing from its heel counter and featuring snakeskin near the heel. The overlays on the side panels combine elements from the Air Jordan 7 and Air Jordan 5. Overall, the silhouette takes most of its design cues from the Air Jordan 5, including the jagged shark tooth midsole and metallic silver tongue.
That appearance is made even more abundantly clear with this Jordan Sixty Plus Low Fire Red. The tumbled leather upper comes dressed in an off-white shade for a vintage vibe. Hints of red on the tongue, midsole, and the diagonal 23 on the heel borrowed from the Air Jordan 7 complete the look.
The Air Jordan Sixty Plus Fire Red Low is set to drop in Summer 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizes, the price is set at $160. For everything Jordan, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
