There’s nothing better than a classic suede and mesh New Balance runner in a unique (but not garish) colorway, and as the Boston-based brand begins rolling out releases from the Made in UK Fall/Winter 2025 line, a 991v2 in dusty purple and grey is already a highlight of the year.
Officially done in a dusk and purple sage colorway, the beautiful 991v2 has light purple pigskin suede across the entire upper, paired with mesh in the same color. The support accents across the toebox are traditional New Balance grey to match the 991 logo on the heel and the branding on the tongue. The sole is two-tone, with white on the forefoot and cream on the heel portion, all broken up by translucent ABZORB pods visible throughout, and a black outsole on the bottom.

We first saw this pair in the New Balance Made in UK Fall/Winter 2025 lookbook alongside tea cups, wild foxes, and a few other standout 991v2 colorways. The limited-release Made in UK label comes straight from New Balance’s Flimby factory, which focuses on premium materials and handmade craftsmanship, and you can see every bit of that attention to detail in the purple sage 991s.
The New Balance 991v2 Dusk Purple Sage has been popping up at retailers in Europe already, but is slated for global release in Fall 2025 through select New Balance retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizes, the retail price is set at $250. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
