There are a few colorways that perfectly represent the early 2000s era currently back en vogue across the fashion and sneaker industry. There’s the loud patent leather that defined the early streetwear scene, the all-black everything look, and of course, the metallic silver obsession. After giving us a classic New Balance grey colorway of the new 2010 silhouette, the latest pair returns to Y2K in shiny silver.
The New Balance 2010 Metallic Silver takes after plenty of past runners from across the sneaker industry, combining shiny silver paneling on the toe and structural side panels. The rest of the upper is a mix of dark and light grey, with lighter shades added to the mesh and stormy grey on the “N” side logo and the rest of the supporting panels.

A gradient midsole starts white at the toe and moves to a grey shade at the heel. The outsole underneath is the only bit of black, with more grey added on the sockliner and tongue branding. Lastly, the ABZORB pods in the heel of the midsole are yet another shade of grey.
The New Balance ABZORB 2010 Metallic Silver will be released May 8, 2026 through New Balance and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160. For all the latest New Balance news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
